GP ST1 Induction

We are delighted to welcome the new 2024 ST1 GP trainees to Health Education England and congratulations on your success in being allocated to your GP Specialty Training Programme in London.

We are currently planning our GP August 2024 inductions. The next Pan London induction sessions for all new GP ST1 trainees will be delivered remotely on MS teams. We will hold inductions on 3 different dates, trainees only need to attend one induction.

Wednesday 07th August 2024, from 1-3.00pm.

Monday 12th August 2024, from 1-3.00pm

Tuesday 13th August 2024, from 1-3.00pm

You will receive an invite shortly.

These sessions give trainees the best start to their training programme across the London area, providing key information relevant to training and development.

In addition, there will be an induction for International Medical Graduate new GP starters who may be new to the NHS or unfamiliar with the NHS system – this will be held remotely on MS teams on 03rd July 2024 from 10am- 4pm.

In addition to these centrally held Pan-London inductions, there will be also an induction session with your own VTS training programme and an induction session with your hospital trust or GP practice.

Please read the downloadable documents on this page carefully for more information and action to take to prepare you for your inductions and for your smooth transition into GP training in London.
