Dear trainees,

The new curriculum (available at https://www.jrcptb.org.uk/sites/default/files/Gastroenterology 2022 curriculum FINAL v1.0.pdf) mandates 25% or 1 year of GIM training over the 4 year curriculum.  The British Junior Cardiologists Association has put together an online GIM calculator which has been endorsed by the cardiology Speciality Advisory Committee.  We are working on tweaking this for Gastroenterology but Prof Alstead is happy for us to use this to calculate our GIM time to ensure we are doing the required amount.  We recommend all trainees complete this.  This should also help highlight any outliers to the intended 25%.  Please let us know if you are doing significantly more than the 25% required via the below link:
