Eligibility for London and the South East Professional Support Unit (PSU) Services

 

You can access support from the PSU if you are in one of the following groups.

If you do not meet the following criteria, we would suggest contacting those responsible for your training programme or supervision, your employer and/or your local Directors of Postgraduate Education for further guidance and support.

Please note you may be required to provide proof of eligibility if you do not show up on our systems.

 

Length of PSU input and outcome 4s

• In most cases the PSU can offer support until you have completed your postgraduate training.
• If you are in receipt of an ARCP Outcome 4 you will be able to access PSU support for up to 3 months following the confirmation of the date of your Outcome 4. Any extensions beyond this will require approval of your Postgraduate Deans.

 

Doctors:

London: Postgraduate doctors with London speciality training numbers (Foundation to CCT).

KSS:  Postgraduate doctors (except Foundation + GP residents) with KSS training numbers (Core training to CCT).

NB Foundation and GP residents in KSS can access support from the KSS PSWS instead.

 

Dentists:

London: Postgraduate dentists with London training numbers (Foundation to CCT).

KSS:  Postgraduate dentists with KSS training numbers (Foundation to CCT).

 

Public Health Registrars:

London: All Public Health Registrars with London training numbers (Foundation to CCT).

KSS:  Public Health Registrars with KSS training numbers can access support from the KSS PSWS instead.

 

Pharmacists:

London: Foundation Trainee Pharmacists on the 1 year post-degree Foundation Programme based in London. 

 

Health Care Scientists:

London: Those on Healthcare Scientist Training Programmes or Higher Specialist Science Training programmes in London (including echocardiography trainees).
