London office relocation

What's happening (and when)?

The NHS England (Health Education England - HEE as was) London office is relocating to 10 South Colonnade (10 SC), Canary Wharf, London, E14 4PU.

Our final day operating from Stewart House will be Friday 28 April 2023. We will be fully operational at 10 South Colonnade from Tuesday 2 May 2023.

Please ensure that any correspondence sent by post after 28 April 2023 is sent to: 10 South Colonnade, Canary Wharf, London E14 4PU. Existing phone and email contact details will remain the same.

Opening hours of the office:

  • Monday to Friday – 7am until 8pm
  • Saturday and Sunday 9am until 6pm.

Room booking, desk booking and visitor management system

Up to 28 April:

Visitors will need to follow the usual visitor processes when attending Stewart House. However, please be aware that in-person meetings can no longer be accommodated within our Events Centre at Stewart House.

If you require any face-to-face meetings with Stewart House-based colleagues, please ensure that arrangements have been made with them to meet virtually or at an alternative location.

From 2 May:

Given that 10 South Colonnade is a Government hub with heightened security, all staff and visitors will need to follow enhanced visitor access processes when attending the building.

Visitor processes

Anyone without a pass specific to 10 SC will be treated as a visitor.

Ad-hoc meetings, with those who do not work in 10SC, will not be possible. However, there are lots of places, listed in our Guide to Canary Wharf, in the local area to meet informally.

Visitors will need to be accompanied by a member of staff at all times. The member of staff, registering the visitor (the host), must be available to:

  • collect all external visitors from Reception
  • sign visitors in
  • escort visitors as they move around the building, including within the shared areas
  • accompany visitors back to the turnstiles upon leaving.

Visitors will be asked to present original, valid photo ID (passport or driving licence) in order to obtain a visitor’s pass and gain access to the building. The ID must be the original and not a photo or photocopy.

External visitors must be informed of the strict security around meeting attendees and that it is, therefore, not possible to send an alternative colleague in their place to meetings without at least 24 hours’ notice.

Entry will not be permitted if:

  • the visitor does not have a host/contact based in the building
  • the host cannot be contacted or will not accept the visitor.
