We accept self-referrals and the information you share on your application form to us is not accessible to or routinely shared with anyone involved in your training or employment. Our privacy and confidentiality statements are attached at the bottom of this page.

Please note we cannot offer an emergency or out of hours service. For urgent or out of hours psychological support please read the information at the bottom of this page. For urgent queries relating to your training or work please contact your Training Programme leads or employer.

How to access the PSU support

Access to the PSU is by self-referral. Each of the tabs above provides information about the different services provided by the PSU and the contact/application information for each service.

Please have a look at the different services we have and apply directly to the one you would like to as this often means we can process your request more quickly. Alternatively, if you are unsure of what services would be most useful or you would like to access multiple services, please complete the following online application form.

On occasions, we also accept referrals from Heads of School, Associate Deans and Training Programme Directors however we prefer to encourage self-referral as it helps with ongoing engagement and better outcomes.  Would therefore ask senior educators that are considering referring someone to first share our information (including our confidential and  impartial advice SPOC service) with the trainee and give then time to self refer to us first.
