Supported Return to Training Course at St Georges Hospital:

 

This course is designed to help trainees feel more prepared for their return to work by providing:

  • Updates for clinical practice
  • Clinical skills session
  • Actor-based communication skills simulations, covering a range of topics which will be tailored to the participants
  • Well-being session
  • Opportunities to meet and network with other trainees whom have taken time out of training.

Dates for courses are:

This free workshop is for health and social care staff who are absent from work and are planning on returning. It doesn’t matter what stage of this returning process you are at (please note: it is not a course for those interesting in supporting returners). In collaboration with Health Education England (HEE) and South East London Integrated Care System, Maudsley Learning have developed this to course to support returners, focusing on personal skills and wellbeing.

Thrive after maternity leave - plan a confident return to work online course - Multiple start dates from January 4th 2022

GPs and GP trainees on maternity leave in London are invited to join this five-week coaching programme, which will take them through everything they need to think about to plan a confident return to work: from how to manage ones emotions, maintaining confidence, juggling work and family life, maintain sense of self and create ones return to work plan. The aim is to not just survive after your return to work, but thrive!

 

Course Information

Online 5-week course – flexible family-friendly online learning supported by one-hour weekly group Zoom coaching sessions

 

Learning outcomes

1) Maintain your identity through maternity leave and beyond

2) Boost and maintain your confidence as a mother and after you return to work

3) Manage your family’s ‘Home Contract’ of chores and jobs in a way that works for you all

4) Create a return to work plan including contingency planning

5) Achieve your potential post maternity leave and keep your career on track

GPs (trainees and qualified) will also have access to Return-to-Work Simulation workshops to support their clinical skill sets, as well as access to career and wellbeing webinars in 2022.
