INSIGHT

Overview of the module

“Humour is the affectionate communication of insight.” (Rosten 1959)

This module is written for multi-professional healthcare professionals including trainees, trainers, tutors, clinical and educational supervisors. It should take about 45 minutes to complete. There is no post-module assessment or certificate, but you may want to write some notes and reflections to include in your personal learning portfolio.

The aim of the module is for you to review and reflect on your understanding and approaches to the topic of insight. It will cover some definitions of the term, ideas about what promotes and what hinders insight, ways to help yourself and others develop insight, and a chance to practise your skills and reflect on learning.
